I am Adjunct Professor (Privatdozent) of Modern History at the History Department of the University of Basel (Switzerland). I received my doctorate for research on Hungarian-Jewish history, and qualified for professorial status with a postdoctoral study on the historical sciences in the digital age. I then pursued further training in Archival Studies and Information Sciences at the University of Berne (Switzerland). In the summer of 2010, I was Visiting Professor in "History, Didactics, and Digital Media" at the University of Vienna (Austria). I am the co-founder of hist.net, an international platform for history and digital media.
